Each Elementary OBOB class focuses on a book from the Battle of the Books list. Students will spend time in each book summarizing, discussing, and exploring literary concepts with others. Occasionally they will demonstrate their knowledge of the book through mini class battles or playing Kahoot. Toward the end of the semester, students form teams to participate in a school-wide Battle of the Books competition. The winning student team will also have the opportunity to represent Logos at the Regional Battle, and potentially the State Battle as well.

Do you love trivia? Do you love to read? Middle School Oregon Battle of the Books just might be the club for you. We meet every other week to discuss the books we have read, collect details from the books, and challenge each other with trivia questions. In early February, we have a school competition to see which set of students will go on to a regional competition and possibly even State!
Grades: 9-12 | Contact: Michelle Stockton
Do you like to read? OBOB is a competitive reading opportunity. In high school, we read 12 books and discuss 2 of them every other week. In January, everyone who has read the books takes a written test (similar to the questions at the "battles") to be placed on a school team. The winning team progresses to regionals, and (at Logos) we usually win and head to the state championships in April. In May, win or lose, we have a party at Logos with the Brain Bowl teams.
